Frankly, I don't think your kids are being honest about why they watch Rogan. That's a narrative that fills a family dynamic. And when Rogan says stupid $#it it's almost never meant to be funny. It's understandable they watch - sadly - but the explanation doesn't tell the full story.

Respectfully agree to disagree. I’ve heard them go toe to toe with their friends about it. To their credit, they know what’s happening on both sides from platforms that most of us are not watching & they have a pretty good pulse on how people in their age group see things- and we need to catch up.

Bottom line is that Dems need to reach people where they are. Older people are on legacy media so Dems need to show up there. Gen X still watch the Daily Show and other similar shows so Dems need to be there. Younger folks listen to these podcasts. They need to show up to these places regularly.

It is entertainment for many. They don’t recognize the dangers or consequences. Too many reality tv shows and video games. Too much fantasy. Not enough reality. The younger generation hasn’t lived the wars and history and are too busy thinking this is all a big game with no consequences.
