I was so sick of the "kids these days" thing and it was never nice. But I find that nothing gets people shut down on the topic more then a healthy dose of remembering what it was like on the other end. Really shame them with it

Gen X waited by the radio too, though. My sister and I waited for hours with our radio+tape recorder for the *good* songs to come on so we could make mixtapes for our friends.

Boomers epically got their own criticism but before the Boomers people at least had the wherewithal to target nostalgic criticism of "the youth" as actual adults (from college-age in the late 60s onward) not "you're doing childhood wrong"
