Honestly this IRS handing over the lists to the secret police thing is the worst bit that's come out thus far.

So many people are going to get hurt, and will have good reason to never trust the state for generations.

reminds me of my new-teacher coworker who promised her 3rd grade student that she would see him the next day if he'd just go with the nice social worker who came to pick him up one day, like the social worker promised...my colleague believed SW. kid didn't. we never saw him again. also in the bronx.
