Those in the Vtuber/Streaming space who think '30s' is old are gonna have a real 'Oh shit I was wrong' moment when they get to their 30s and realize nothing changes they are still the same as they were in their 20s.

I think it's funny because I basically started when I was like 28/29, and I've been doing this longer than most folks were even in the vtuber space. :/
i think that applies way more to 18/19 year olds than people in their 20s
some people are forced to grow up quickly and are mature for their age even though they don't have *all* the information they need to suceed in the world
True. I'd extend that to 11-24 years old (but mostly 14-19), though. I should specify that I meant when people used that line to try and get them into a relationship. I also know many young people who had a phenomenal handle on life without trauma and didn't fall for that line. I'm v proud of them.🥰
Yeah... you do t get to stay up till 4am playing games and sit there with a shocked Pikachu face wondering why you're tired or have the actual audacity to complain about a mess of your own making. I see so many 20 somethings do this. Lol.
Just wait until you are in your 70s. Mentally, I still feel I am young. Experience has taught me more about myself so I can handle life a bit better, but other than that--I'm still young.
When I was in my 20's people always thought I was older. When I hit 30 all of a sudden people started saying I looked younger. Might be because my hair didn't start falling out (good genes) and my waist size also stayed 30 (diet & exercise). My problem is I'm 18 going on 70 now with hair & 30" waist
I mean, I know I'm not 30 yet, but the only thing that has changed now compared to, say 5 to 10 years ago, is that my tastes and tolerance for bullshit have changed.
Other than that, I still feel the same, and I wouldn't be surprised if it remains that way when I do turn 30.
Age is totally a state of mind. My 18 year old has always been a crochety 80 year old and will continue to be one no matter what anniversary it is of their birth
Before 30, many people fear aging, and disparage it in others. Eventually, they discover that every decade is better than the prior one, but only for those who survive.
I am staring down the barrel of 50 in a few years... and I legitimately mostly feel like I am the same person I was in my 20s... but my tolerance for the world's general bullshit is just significantly less.
I am with you. I am 37 so closer to 40 and I am more mature/wise but over all I still feel the same as I did when I started creating Rift content back in 2010.
It's kinda neat; like I'm still my 20 year old self and despite the fact that I've got lasting injuries in all four limbs and everything hurts almost always, I haven't stopped crashing my mountain bike.
Maybe my mind is better at managing the pain. Sometimes I feel like a statue.
Oh no. Things change. Your perspective.
You find yourself wanting to help your younger friends and trying to advise them away from the stupid thing you have been there and done that on. After a while your good intentions villainize you to the younger folks, and you're "cranky all the time"
Listening to people turning 30 go on and on about how they're "old" now is one of the most exhausting trends on the internet. It wasn't cute when they started and it gets less and less cute every day. Old in the middle of your life was a boomer thing - let it effin die already.
Likewise to all the Millennials who think your 50s is any different... Nope. Only the amount of creaking bones and new hairs on your body is different. In your brain, you're still you. You don't suddenly become your grandma.
Anyone who tells me I’m elderly for being in my late 20s is getting the “wait til you’re 25 and try getting up from a chair” speech, which is probably just a rare experience I had back. Still, would be a fun way to scare them. 🤭
HAHA true but your interests are still the same! Most likely in your mind even with the creaks and tolerance you still are 'the same person' looking out.
i dunno, i changed a lot when i left the 20's... changed even more when i left the 30's... i suspect i'll change even more - as this shit appears to be logarithmic - when i hit 50.

But your body goes right on aging.

I genuinely don’t understand what they think is going to happen + if they’ll drop their own hobbies when they reach 30.

I don't care for those brats.

I'm now 77 and I no longer trust anyone.
