I ended up uninstalling OBS today after spending 6 hours streaming flawlessly with @streamwithmeld.com. I use CPU encoding (since my CPU is better than my GPU) and it ran around 10% CPU and 8 % GPU. Seemed very resource friendly!

Been watching Meld for a bit now. It's missing track options to remove certain things from VODS, no stinger transition options, and are still missing other options present within OBS.
I'd love to switch over but need some of these features to roll out first.
@streamwithmeld.com Hi, I was reviewing the TOS of your service and have some concerns over some of the terms as written. Under #8: Ownership, subsection "2: Use License," your TOS states that it "hereby grants to you a personal... license to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use."
As you may be aware, most streamers use these programs with the intention of making profit, as part of small businesses, and those who don't still make an income via tips and monetization services like Twitch Affiliate. Does using StreamMeld in this manner violate your service's TOS?
Hey there! We recognize that streamers monetize their content, as they should! You cannot monetize our software, but you can absolutely use services to monetize your content on platforms while utilizing our software. I hope that helps and clarifies it.
It seems really good. I opened it and transferred everything from OBS, doesn't support nested scenes, ergh. I have everything in nested scenes from using https://streamer.bot and the many plugins and not wanting cluttered scenes over the years. I don't think I'm committed enough to switch.
I saw you go live with it earlier and I installed it and want to give it a try too! I really like the UI.
Although it looks like they don't have GPU encoding for AMD cards yet and I have the opposite problem of you (CPU bottleneck, my GPU has resources to spare)
I'm not totally sure, but the "hardware encoder" toggle is greyed out for me.
I tried looking at their documentation it specifically referenced the nvidia encoder. But, I could be missing something! Or it could be a feature yet to come, sounds like they are adding new stuff often.
It is on our roadmap! Our team is small currently, but we do know that folks want AMD support and it's something we want to deliver when we're able to.
It's something I may look into when I have the free time (yeah...). One nice thing about streaming WoW is you can run it on a potato and doesn't demand as much in resources, especially GPU like other games. Even with all the software I run that requires GPU, everything runs smoothly.
OBS does the same thing if you choose hardware encoding but ruin the quality.
Shittiest video I made was like 6% GPU and still looked better than H.264 by using HEVC.
Been doing digital media for 25 years, there are NO free lunches.

You can exclude audio from Twitch VODs currently as well.
We have updates every two weeks so we'd love if you kept an eye on us for the future. 👀

I'll still give it a shot though!

Meld only supports HEVC for now.
