Wasn't on board at first, but as the film went on, I started to be more accustomed to this version of Orian Pax, then it just worked, which is how I describe his vocal performance. It was so satisfying by the end.
I watched TF One followed by Rise/Beasts, last night, and I feel the live action movies have Prime more jaded—it’s just a bit sad to see Prime being more stern, gruff.
The “Calm” app has Cullen as Optimus Prime reading sleep stories and they’re great, BTW.
I think there were a couple moments where it sounded like Hemsworth dropped a little to channel just a smidge of Cullen & add just a bit more weight to a line or two. Overall, it was a solid Optimus.
i was surprised actually, i think at first i was iffy on it but he literally grew into the voice by the end of the movie. the progression from a young optimus to a more familiar and serious tone for his delivery was really good.
I think he was peak as Orion Pax and pretty good as Prime, this role let him show he can be funny and dramatic at the same time (just like the only good Thor movie, imagine that)

Especially loved how he was able to slip into the Cullen gravitas at certain points in a very natural way.
Honestly could think of no better choice.
sure it sounds similar but it gives me animated vibes with david kaye's optimus
