Yep, with the strike for movies and tv shows some production companies were able to continue with interim contracts. Some smaller ones like Dropout actually shutdown production in solidarity even though they did not need to as technically their stuff is not covered by the same rules.

I signed an interim contract agreeing not to use voice over for AI AND I offered my actors royalties in addition to their base rates.

My budget is basically zero, but I managed it anyway.

Bottom line: nobody else should have to go without to subsidize your desire to own a business.

I'm SO tired of hearing in defense of several things "B-b-b-but what about wittle indie devs that don't have the money." There are alternatives, there are ways. Being small doesn't excuse exploitative shortcuts, period.
