So people like you hand the whole government to criminals and you're mad at Democrats for not doing enough to stop them? Note to you. Stop voting for criminals and expecting everyone else to protect you! Criminals will be criming.
Like what? They are doing everything they can. VOTERS handed Trump a trifecta. The legal challenges are stalling him. Democrats held a filibuster the other week, and no one seemed to notice. The second you are ready to take up arms, you drop me a line
Oh please they could be out there every day on tv, radio, podcasts screaming from the rooftops. Stop acting like this is just about the votes. Black people didn’t even have a vote when they launched the civil rights movement.
Use the law..litigate every damn thing. Cripple the government. File 100 lawsuits a day. Do what needs to be done! Hire someone, get dirt on them, blackmail them! Do whatever it takes!
another filibuster Thursday - an all nighter again. These delay business and extend the time before these votes are taken, allowing consituents more time to call in,
Calling republicans out IS doing something! People aren’t reading the news so they need to be told by their reps and WE NEED TO AMPLIFY THEIR VOICES because the media isn’t covering them as the Nazis they are. Do something yourself to promote/follow Dems and then complain to them about what we need
Everyone needs to be calling their senators and representatives a few times a week whether we live in red or blue states. Call don't email (unless there's no other choice). If you talk to an intern, get their name as well.
Why not email? I feel like a lot of them let their VM fill up last time republican office calls were made, and with email isn’t there a directive to store them? I’m not sure
If the phone calls are actually answered, they are supposed to be documented. My understanding is that their offices keep lists of the calls and whose calling. Emails can go unread or be erased. Of course the same can be said of voice mails too.
Exactly this. I caught a little MSM yesterday, and CNN is normalizing everything. FOX has transitioned into pretending they don't have trifecta and focusing entirely on "liberal tears." Opposition voices are vital.
They had 4 years to prepare to have it play out exactly this way. We need to organize around that fact & start working! Stop yelling at each other and start blasting out information to those who are too stressed to do the reading themselves. It’s a group project, and we nerds know how to do the work
See: Everything Mitch McConnell has been doing the last 15 years. Do that. Obstruct, obstruct, obstruct. Do not compromise. Take advantage of every single ounce of leverage you can get. Be out there EVERY SINGLE DAY trash talking the GOP. Get to work on the dems' Project 2029. PULL EVERY LEVER!
— he can across the aisle. Dems and the precious few Repubs who've either grown a conscience or are unafraid of retribution are set to take Ls the next four years. Now would be the time for coalition building, if ever there were one, and to get beyond partisan pettiness.
No, McConnell is evil and he has absolutely NOT grown a conscience. McConnell is only voting against stuff because he knows they can afford to lose his vote. He'll fall in line where he needs to. He's an evil bastard
Being evil has no use. McConnell is too much a pragmatist for that. You paint people as evil — you assume they're not human. They're monsters. They're inherently unlike everyone else. That's never true. It's just more comforting.
McConnell is just a selfish, greedy bastard. He's no monster or mustache-twirling villain. To understand that is to understand how little he differs from people like him — and to understand their motivations. Understand their motivations, and you can use them or break them.
For all the talk of Mitch being an evil bastard, he's really not. Just incredibly self-serving. All the heinous things he's done has been for party position. At this point, he's probably more concerned with his legacy (fool's errand though that is, at this point) than toeing the party line.
Mitch is very much an Alex Hamilton. His way or no way, knows what he wants, will steamroll anyone to get it, and very much led by his ego and wallet first, ideals second.
But nobody expected Hamilton to back Jefferson over Burr, either.
His playbook has been circulating in Senate circles. And the budget should make the House interesting. With slim majorities, both McCarthy and Johnson had to get bailed out by Democrats.
Yep. And their majority is currently slimmer than its ever been. If by some miracle the dems manage to win the special elections for all the vacated chairs, the house will be tied

I'm typically active, but everyone within my local community is completely engaged.
I am starting to wonder if the "do something" accounts are bots
Now might also be a good time to get McConnell on board, now that he seems to have grown a conscience, and get him to strongarm everyone—
