Thank you for helping support his rehabilitation. It's not over yet but today was his first day. He was out of the stall in over 3 1/2 months. We have over 18 inches of snow so the footing is very soft and we decided to let him go, take a roll and a run around💕

This is a guess based on googling, as I have no experience with horses. I think it's a horse boot. The internet suggests they can be helpful with laminitis, which is one of the health problems that were listed.

Tizmas is still in a long journey back to health. He came to us with a very serious hoof infection. So bad it had moved into his bone. He has been on major antibiotics and heavy treatment. He is on the mend! We continue to wrap his hoof to continue the healing and keep it clean and dry.

Oh yes! Lots of shelter.... A big comfy, bedded stall. Tizmas is just barely coming off of stall rest and was outside for a short while to get his wiggles out. This will be a long process after coming to us in such bad shape.

When Tizmas arrived here, his condition was heartbreaking. His body score of just 2, underweight and malnourished. He was battling a coffin bone infection, laminitis flare-up and was also being treated for ulcers, EPM (Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis), and West Nile Virus.
