Oh bugger - are you sure it's not running down from the diff? I had a driveshaft seal damaged when the box was done on the xc60 the first time when they fitted a new torque converter - initially it looked like it was coming from the bell housing.

I stuck my head under without it being jacked up and a stream was coming out of the hole at the bottom of the bellhousing. I'll look under it properly when I'm less likely to set the whole car on fire
