Yes! I love it and so many 70s films—I (mostly) prefer them to 80s/90s when things got aspirational(?). Wardrobe was ordinary; people got noticeably sweaty; clothes/hair got messy; chases/fights were scarier because they felt riskier pre-CGI (e.g. French Connection vs Bourne series).

There’s so much to love about 1974’s “The Taking of Pelham One Two Three”. One of them is how wonderfully ordinary everyone looks. It’s such a relief. There’s a tyranny of beauty in so many modern movies. Beautiful people, beautiful bodies. It’s as exhausting as it’s alienating.
