In case you missed it in the obituary: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Classical Theatre of Harlem, where Braugher served on the board. cthnyc.kindful.com/campaigns/10....

I saw Mr Braugher in a play in a small off-Broadway theater many years ago, and his talent was ferocious. What a tremendous and terrible loss. deadline.com/2023/12/andr...

He was absolutely stellar actor and should have been around so much longer than this.

Memory, history, wayfinding, poetry—a transcendently lovely piece. It touches on the particular nostalgia we feel for lost places. I've feel that acutely now, as favorite landmarks are razed and my city of 35 years feels less familiar to me. www.newyorker.com/culture/the-...

a note to Washington Post readers: On Dec. 7, we ask you to respect our walkout by not crossing the picket line: For 24 hours, please do not engage with any Post content. That includes our print + online news stories, podcasts, videos, games and recipes.

Years ago I was a bartender; many of the waitstaff were working thru grad school. Few had even a droplet of common sense. Favorite question ever was "How do you garnish wine/a beer?" SO tempted to let them put whipped cream & cherries on the pints of Bud for Table 3.

Yes! I love it and so many 70s films—I (mostly) prefer them to 80s/90s when things got aspirational(?). Wardrobe was ordinary; people got noticeably sweaty; clothes/hair got messy; chases/fights were scarier because they felt riskier pre-CGI (e.g. French Connection vs Bourne series).

If you would like to do a small thing to help undo the mark that Henry Kissinger left on the world, I recommend a donation to the HALO Trust, which was working to de-mine Cambodia when I visited in 2002. The work continues today, and will for years to come. www.halousa.org/where-we-wor...

Been seeing reports of kids coming home with Ornette Coleman records so please make sure you check your children’s candy to protect them from free jazz.

The danger is real, kids. 🎃

Using an image, show a movie you're sure you've seen ten times. (This is an all-time favorite).
