That's my standard response to the whole trans-women-in-women's-sports-have-an-unfair-advantage debacle: "So what you're saying is that ANY man is ALWAYS going to be better at ANY sport than ANY woman."

They always insist that that's not what they're saying, but that's what they're saying.

notably people tend to focus a lot of their transphobia on trans women. trans men obviously get a lot of it as well, but most of their favorite targets are women. the WORST thing to a transphobe is someone giving up manhood.

It’s fear, is what it is. There has always been that fear amongst straight men that the woman they want to hook up with could actually be a man. Followed by the revulsion that they could be attracted to that. It’s a common trope seen in old movies and tv shows as a gag, but there is some truth in it

And for straight women, it’s the fear of a predator in the restroom. There has been, unfortunately, some precedent for it. Although rarely ever the case nowadays, however there are now generations of women who have been taught that a man in the bathroom only wants to harm them.

Completely agree. When someone tells me they are trans it’s very much ok shug. They are still a person. Something a lot of people could learn from.
