It going to get worse. Australia is actively recruiting US air traffic controllers. They talk about this on the ATC Redditt. They are going to lose quite a few and they short staffed.

First of all screw all the cheap NJ jokes. But yes EWR is a disaster right now. I was flying home on Sunday and our plane had to circle for 1.5 hours in turbulence many people puked. Eventually we were diverted to Dulles where we sat on the jetway for 2 hours before taking off again to land in EWR.
