Right? The one time I was stood up, I drove to a pizza shop across the street, got a hot pizza fresh out of the oven, and went home where my young adult kids and I enjoyed a surprise pizza dinner.
Also, when dating online I made sure that my first dates were "a coffee" or "a beer". Keep em short
Pre-pandemic, I was often treated poorly when I dined solo. It wasn't uncommon to be seated, then never have anyone come to take my order. I would flag down servers and there was always an excuse or a promise to pass the word. Rarely did the person I flagged actually help. Waited 45min-1hr & left.
You're talking nonsense or your niece was talking nonsense when she described the situation to you. I live in Paris and see women dining alone plenty. Whatever reason they had for asking her to leave had nothing to do with her being a woman on her own.
No way. As a marketer, the amount of time you'd spend tricking someone to going on a date just to generate one meal would get so much more out of social or astroturfing.
