Why we should care about the measles outbreaks:
-In wealthy countries, 0.1%-0.2% of measles cases result in death
-In poorer countries or populations, up to 10% of cases will die
-15-30% of measles cases will require hospitalization

Please Purple voters, think!
You’re killing me!
No, literally KILLING ME!
They are CULLING us
-5-10% of cases will result in hearing loss
-0.1% will have permanent neurological damage (higher among <12 month olds)
-up to 40% will have increased risk of other infections for months or years ("immune memory loss")

-1 dose: 93% effective
-2 doses: 97% effective
Before MMR, the live attenuated vaccine conferred 93-95% protection. (Those of us born before 1970-ish)

Waning after 2 doses of MMR is rare, even decades later, but has been observed among some people to be 1-3% per year.

In this province so far in 2025, 8 cases have required hospitalization. 100% of those were unvaccinated.

Hospitalisation numbers are significantly worse: 129 so far in 2025, including a few vaccinated. 92 children. (From p2. The number you cited was from a subset.)
Vaccines confer EXTRAORDINARY protection, but not 100%. If you're among the few non-responders or someone with waned immunity, you likely won't know until you're exposed to measles.

denies strain of measles,
so you refrain from the vax
'cause of alternative facts,
bow to nonsense from bots
and now your cra-cra ass
