In Ontario in 2024, 10.9% of cases had received at least one dose of vaccines.
In this province so far in 2025, 8 cases have required hospitalization. 100% of those were unvaccinated.

Hospitalisation numbers are significantly worse: 129 so far in 2025, including a few vaccinated. 92 children. (From p2. The number you cited was from a subset.)
Vaccines confer EXTRAORDINARY protection, but not 100%. If you're among the few non-responders or someone with waned immunity, you likely won't know until you're exposed to measles.

Thus ends my ongoing plea for everyone to get a measles shot.

I know our public health is currently rubbish, but this still stands as of right now.
For measles, there should be two preventive measures in place: vaccination and NPIs (masking, ventilation, air filtration, de-crowding), more so as there are outbreaks now worldwide.
