It would be a lot easier to just give the party that keeps trying to pass good stuff enough votes to fucking do it without giving a shit about what Republican obstructionists think.

the entire package was derailed because one of the democrats on the transportation committee decided he didn't want to vote for tax increases and started lying about the bill having tolling in it
"Republicans are not interested in governing. This has been obvious for a long time. And yet, Dems compromise and compromise (enraging their own voters and constituents) only to get the finger in the end."
that's true, I guess it would be more accurate to acknowledge that there are several republicans who are more interested in governing than some of the democrats in salem
Relating to the bigger picture...I find it odd that none of the people who go off on the Dems for being ever more ineffectual & unrepresentative never seem to connect that to how Republicans have been making it harder & harder to vote in a way that disproportionately affects the most liberal voters.
People don't seem to get that as it gets harder for us to vote, things also get harder for them.
No one has had supermajorities in both chambers like FDR & LBJ did since the latter signed the Civil Rights Act & the majority of the white working class started voting against their own interests.

That is what I am responding to.
Lol, no, she lost because Republicans purged almost 20 million voters between 2020-2024 & the media wanted Trump.
Also, if someone refuses to vote against fascism because the opposition's campaign isn't quite good enough, they are an amoral monster.
