I hope they get used in subsequent anti-elon crimes. If they got that many, they won't be able to catch them all. Wouldn't surprise me if it was some insurance scheme on Tesla's part though.

No cameras in lot, no sentry mode and insurance payouts for cars that they cant sell and have to pay to store? This is probably insurance fraud

It doesn't really look like this was an ideological act, per se, but it's still instructive that the targeted company likely made money following the theft.

But I would wager, if similar acts of vandalism happened enough times, Tesla's insurance company will drop them
