When I was younger, I was more open to the exotic. But I don't "want to believe", I want to know the truth, or come as close as I can thru an evidence based, rational analysis. A thought game called "what's more likely" has never led me to "alien starship".

i would carry on this tradition without hesitation if i were in their shoes. i wouldn't even consider the possibility that down the line it might cause qanon or whatever, that's too funny a bit to pass up, i wouldn't care that hazing is wrong.

Doty's story of being shown video of a ufo and alien creatures has always had the flavor of a hazing ritual, but it's also impossible to pin down what that guy actually believes is real.

I do want to give props to my wife who has often suggested that "intelligence agencies are just frats" and some of the spooky stuff that seems both pointless and lacks a plausible explanation is a result of hazing or the CIA equivalent of cow tipping (draining cows blood and removing its organs)
