It wishes a lot of methods exist in Microsoft's own code that don't. Then I hit up learn dot whatever and if that document was not edited by rwest the information is fake.
It's almost as though—and bear with me for suggesting this—it's not actually intelligent, artificial or otherwise. Even back when I first wrote code generators, I would check the syntax tree to make sure I'm not spewing back something that already exists.
i find it endearing on occasion lol. there's times i will run the same broken shit a second time... maybe even a third... incredulously, bleary eyed, swearing i didnt change anything, totally positive i am right and it is the electrons that are wrong! anyway, when copilot crashes out, i feel that.
Mine just got really stuck because I tried to get it to generate code inside a https://README.md, and ended up writing a loop to generate a new README, because of some poor wording on my part. That one was amusing.
