There's a product called Krisp dot ai that vocally isolates you in meetings. I decided I want to close my account because Apple has caught up with voice isolation tech now.

I just used the macOS vocal isolation feature with the built-in microphone on my MacBook Pro, for a voice audition, and it sounds amazing. Not studio quality, but infinitely better than a phone recording, and almost as good as my USB mic. I'm very impressed.

just so you all know bc books are a very opaque business... any way you buy/borrow a book is fantastic, but getting hard copies is *significantly* better for the author because that number shows up in an antiquated database called BookScan that publishers prize. ebooks & audio don't.

Serious question: do I want a Nintendo Switch 2? The last gaming device I bought was a PS3 back in 2010 so we could watch Blu-rays. I think I have like five games for it, including the one where you do crimes in the streets. Also my thumbs don’t do that gaming stuff very well.

South Africa is changing their VAT from 15% to 15.5%. If you store financial data using floating point numbers, stop that right now. The mantissa is stored as a fractional power of two, so you’re going to have ugly rounding errors that present at 5 decimals. Or, in real terms, any amount over 9,999.
