Have you played the TurboGrafx-CD version (Fighting Street)? The Special Moves are way easier to pull off and the music quality is much better than the Arcade original across the board. Also, pretty sure GuileWinQuote made a video about SF1 on Arcade actually having a secret ending ;P

I own Fighting Street and while I can't speak to if the specials are easier than the arcade, I can assure you they are so far beyond not easy as to not register on the easiness chart.

easier in comparison of the Arcade version, I felt... but definitely not easy still lol; I played through the Wii Virtual Console, and I say that 3 out of 5 attempts I managed to perform a Special ;P

I wont argue with this. SF1 the controls were so non responsive that the Jiggle quarter circle motion (for the Dragon Punch), and the fluid quarter circle motions (for the Spin Kick, and the fireball) never ever hit right, and the Dragon punch I believe was required to take Sagat down.

Seeing this game killing it in the Game Machines "Best Hit Games 25" charts, or at least managing to hang with the likes of After Burner, Out Run, Final Lap, Operation Wolf, and R-Type, is kind of wild. It was even outperforming the first Double Dragon after a while.
