Given that Mario’s kart has more visible suspension springs, I reckon they’re going for an off-road theme this time around, so maybe wide open areas to race through, as well as regular tracks.

I think you might be onto something, especially given the sandy road track they showed is the game's Mario Circuit (or Mario Bros. Circuit, to be more accurate).

Honestly I'm very much digging how they seem to be leaning a bit more into the SMBwonder/cartoony/cutesy style for this one. Though it's gonna take some time for me to get used to DK's design taking some notes from the movie I think.

I really hope Rosalina actually appears in a mainline Mario game this generation, and doesn’t just get demoted to guest in spin-off games like they did to Daisy. She’s my favorite Mario character!

Oh wow, I saw this and assumed it was just 8 Deluxe footage.

Gonna need a minute to get used to movie!DK being in the games now. It's not a bad design, I'm just so used to how he used to look.
