Just before I moved into a flat where I *still* don't have broadband (EE has been a terrible choice) I downloaded the latest update and so each evening instead of watching something I am obsessively organising my farm 😅 dread to think what my hours per day/week have jumped to
i need to get back into it. i played it for maybe 20 mins and got bored, i think i was trying to fill the void acnh left me. i have it on switch but tempted to get it on pc bc of the bg3 mods i keep seeing!
Are you new to the game? If so and you are already loving it, prepare for it to consume you for a least a little while. And that’ll be before you even discover mods lol
truth be told i have never played it, i have it on steam and installed. Just never started it since i know the morning will come when i least expect it
I play with my friend who streams it. I’ve limited myself to only playing it during those streams because otherwise….look, I already have so many games to play, I’d never stop playing Stardew if I played it on my own.
Fishing became infinitely easier for me when I found out that I could play on controller. But my friend is the opposite. I’m level 10 fishing now, meanwhile combat is at like…2
This was me in the early days of the pandemic. I played for at least 3000 hours during 2020-2023. This year I've been too busy to play a lot, but I did get Perfection once on the 1.6 update.
Stardew is the absolute best. My wife and I are just finishing up Spring in our third year. Have the community center beat and working on getting the boat seaworthy.
I don't have time to play it anymore so I just put on YouTube no commentary long plays while I'm doing stuff around the house. It's just kinda nice to listen to.
The game was beautiful, I enjoyed playing it every day no burnout whatsoever. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it after having problems with my switch. When I went to redownload my cloud save I clicked upload instead of download and lost all of my progress :( haven’t touched it since
Stardew Valley is one of my all time favorite games! Filling out the community center for the first time and the learning curve of fishing.. It has its ups and downs, but it’s so worth it! 😄🐣🌳 What farm map did you choose?
It's so good for falling into like this. What platform are you playing it on? I bounced off it a couple times on the PC and then put a couple hundred hours into it on the Switch, haha. It's such a great game to play in short bursts and long dives. I love it.
YES another Stardew Valley enjoyer! It's a very chill and fun game, and if you're playing it on PC there's mods to expand it further. Keep on keeping on!
Been playing Stardew on and off since it was less than a month old because it's so easy to hyperfixate on whenever I need a chill game for my brain or when there's an update
Vividly remembering picking this up when I got Covid and disappearing into a week-long haze. Woke up to find out I had a husband, a home, and basically all the clothes.
Love this game! I am really good at mining but I stink at fishing. It’s a great game to be able to set down & come back to when I have time/motivation.

It is worth keeping in mind, that, outside of seasons changing or festivals, there's very little *actual* time pressure and any thing you may miss will roll back around. I know the game can seem time-sensitive, and that can stress some folk out, but it's surprisingly forgiving
I see you aren't interested in the romance options! In that case, I recommend befriending Krobus if you are interested in having a cool lil roommate :)

Shane appreciation room is on the right, Clint execution chamber is on the left, have a wonderful stay in the fandom
The bad news is that if it doesn’t it will never go away.
SHE NOW EATS, SLEEPS, and BREATHES Stardew Valley.

Emily romance FTW, pedal to the metal in positivity out of the gate.
Now I put a little padding under my elbow.
Lately, I've been grinding Expanded and I'm loving all the new updates.
