When I was young, I'd sit in the beanbag chair only because I hadn't the experience to know I would never get up again. I am still in said "chair" to this day.
Not to mention the problem of being the driver of a mini and always having to consider whether passengers are able to get out of the back seats before offering a lift to more than one person. 🤔
I was never young and wild. I was younger and angry at everything, and now I'm old and flustered about the decline in the quality of vacuum cleaners over the last 40 years. There was no before, and there was no in between.
You know you’ve passed a milestone when by some miraculous subliminal implant you’re now fitted with an involuntary need to make a quite “oof” noise when attempting to get up from said bean bag / low chair …..
Quite. And best not to mention the trauma of having to get down to ground level and back up again if you want to give your knees a rest at outdoor festivals.

When you're young you're always looking for a new and hip joint.

I am getting there fast 🤣
One minute you’re young & wild, the next you:
-get upset when supermarket changes layout.
-turn radio volume down in car to concentrate better when navigating.
-look forward to perfect night in more than perfect night out.
-hear your child refer to fashions you wore as a teenager as ‘retro’.
of our churches. I know it eats people!
