One time I was on call for support the AI kept looping me around with questions. So I said "I want to talk with a human" to which it responded "Sorry that is not available in your case". So I said it 3 more times and the 4th time it replied "Connecting you to customer agent" beat that robot bastard!

You'll be glad to hear we only have real people where I work. No automated machines. You may have to wait a while for a call back as ppl love to tell you their lives on the phone, but better than a robot, no?

First thing I type in a chat session is “I want to talk with a human”. And I’ve got a horrible feeling that request (demand?) is only going to increase around the world in the coming years 🙁

Ha - yes, I often try the same thing and you get the response "I don't understand that, please try again" and then after three goes, it says "I'll put you through to someone who can help"

Just happened to me the other day with my mobile provider. Problem was really specific and it had no answer, but the wait time for an actual human took like an hour for them to arrive on the chat room. And when I didn't answer for like five minutes, they just ended the chat. So frustrating. 👺

What it will be good for is not if you need support, but for if you need solutions, or something explained to you. You should be able to bypass it for anything else.

Couldn’t agree more. The time we’re told is saved by not talking to a person is probably negligible while the decrease in human interactions we have with each other seems to correlate with a general lack of empathy for each other
