Not to um actually you Lucas, but I don't think it took any brainwashing. Lots of practices make companies more productive/profitable, like 4-day work weeks, diversifying boards, and creating respectful company cultures (reduces turnover). The suits care more about controlling labor than profit.

Working from home actually helps the productivity & bottom line more often than not — but C Suite Executives have been brainwashed by Republican media into a culture war against remote working. Even the CEO of Zoom demanded a return to office.
