"That's because birthright citizenship is enshrined in the 14th Amendment. Not only that. In 1898, in a Supreme Court case called Wong Kim Ark, they upheld birthright citizenship. In other words, there's constitutional precedent."

I think they have to re-visit birthright citizenship because if fertilized eggs are human beings then it will soon become conception-right citizenship.
That’s not a problem for republicans and Trump now. He has full immunity. Can do anything in his official role as president. We can scream and shout but there’s actually nothing that can be done. Supreme Court can’t take back their total immunity decision.
I wouldn't put a lot of faith in this Supreme Court and precedence. They've made it very clear that they will interpret the Constitution in whatever way fits their ideology.
Trump probably sat in a room with radical republicans and did not have the understanding to oppose their ridiculous notions. This is Trump. He is just a mouthpiece.
In 1898 my great-grandfather argued #WongKimArk @ SCOTUS, with #BirthrightCitizenship as a requirement of #14A 14th Amendment. He prevailed despite the xenophobia of the era. Now, in the face of Trump's threats & deportations, we must insist on that same argument: https://oldestvocation.com/2024/01/08/family-lawyer/
Let’s not pick and choose what parts of the constitution we enforce
Section 3 of the 14th amendment says nobody who has been a part of an insurrection, or has given aid or comfort to insurrectionists, can serve in elected office without 2/3 vote of both houses
There are cases like that of Chilean national and serial bigamist angelica maria baxter of #denver #colorado who openly lied on her application to gain entry and citizenship.
