PSX Tactics has normal dialogue that might not be translated as well and harder to follow in some places.

PSP Tactics has some very fancy-ified changes to text and dialogue (Steal becomes Divest) and audio lag on some spell animations.

I prefer PSX but PSP has multiplayer and a couple more classes

Apparently there are a lot more difference than I thought. I thought there were just additional story scenes in the multiplayer aspect, but looks like I was wrong.

I think I prefer the original release over PSP, but they both have nice things in them.

PSP has extra content and more... flowery script, but also has some slowdown problems that have to be modded to fix.

Ultimately the way I like to play it now is OG but with QOL mods from https://ffhacktics.com/

If you're interested, there are some "romhacks" that shove almost all of the changes from WotL into OG.

The Lion War of the Lions is one of the better ones, as it's a hack built on another (The Lion War). https://ffhacktics.com/smf/index.php?topic=12951.0. There are other hacks that go even further with new features.

The War of the Lions version. I'm disappointed that what is coming out on modern consoles and PC soon, doesn't have the additional content from it. But also just glad we are getting FFT at all on modern platforms.

That's too bad. I heard they are using wotl translation but possibly not the extra stuff? Which kinda blows but I'm not super familiar with tactics so I don't know what its leaving out

Im not one to be a purest but I prefer Cloud to baltheire even if he makes more sense in ivalice

But the psp version runs horrendously

But the phone version is supposedly great and added stuff to it

Im looking forward to a better UI and progression chart

I think one thing that makes tactics really tough is you can software lock yourself about 3/4 through the game

So I'm hoping that is fixed in the new version

Just as an FYI in case you were interested, the GBA games are actually totally different games from the PSX and PSP Final Fantasy Tactics.

In fairness, MOST games that had "Game Title" + Advance were re-releases from what I recall so it's totally understandable to make that mistake.
