It's hard not to feel blue when we see the mockery of democracy happening to the south and then hear the Canada is broken lament of the Cons. What really distresses me is the low voter turnouts we continue to see. I don't know how to get people engaged and understand that their votes matter.

I like to reframe things; I think of it all as kind of like driving. If I focus only on the obstacles in my path, I'm pretty well guaranteed to hit them and wreck. If on the other hand, I focus on finding a way through - I will. "Look where you want to go, and you will steer there."

Me as well. I've changed myself to adjust. More of the embracing of simple gifts and pleasures and talents. Yes, politics in the background of it, but we need balance and to remember the HUGE number of wonderful humans just like ourselves.
