Kimmel nails this hoser.

Today they have crossed a deep red line. We, the people, must hold the president and his appointees accountable for this outrageous abuse against American liberty.

An MSNBC anchor just definitively claimed Padilla didn't identify himself when video clearly shows he did. So fucking irresponsible. This is how lies spread.

OOPS: Attorney for Proud Boys in their lawsuit against DOJ may not be allowed to practice law because of a prior felony conviction he appears not to have disclosed, according to the magistrate judge handling the case. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

This is the Administration that sought charges against a sitting Member of Congress for conduct that seems a whole lot less than what it is doing to a sitting Senator for no apparent reason. This on its face looks like an illegal seizure under the Fourth Amendment.

In my time in the Senate I've never seen a Senator treated this way. @padilla.senate.gov is carrying out his constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight and defend the people he represents. Absolutely shocking and disgusting way to handle a sitting member of Congress.

This is disgusting. If this is how they treat Alex Padilla, a United States Senator, how do you think they’ll treat you?

The fact that the Wikimedia Foundation was ever considering this and is in fact still considering it is devastating. The damage they've done to Wikipedia's name is incalculable. I frankly don't want to give money to Wikipedia anymore until everyone who championed this shitbrained idea resigns.

At least 1,500 rallies so far expected across the United States. Steal the quoted tweet and spread widely. #3E #NoKingsProtest

the word "constitution" does not appear in this article nor does any indication that the Trump regime's actions might be illegal it does however note "White House officials maintain that the president is ... standing up for 'law and order' as Democrats go soft on violent agitators."

Ah, after ages thinking about it and feeling flush as I sold a few things on ebay, decided to scratch this nostalgic itch! Feeling like 10 years old again thumbing through this amazing book🤗 Wish I had bought it when it sold for £2.95 back in the day!

I just noticed that my follower count has hit 3,000! Thank you so much for taking the time to follow me, read my ramblings and engage. Hear me out: ICE being in LA is what caused the protests If ICE didn’t kidnap random people from Home Depots, then none of this would’ve happened. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Double.

This weekend, Canada will welcome Prime Minister Keir Starmer to Ottawa. The ties between Canada and the United Kingdom are historic and enduring. Prime Minister Starmer’s visit will further strengthen them — as we build on the partnership that keeps our nations safe and our economies strong.

Land of the free.

If the government was looking to cancel the F-35 contract in favour of a European fighter jet, this report would provide good justification for the decision.

Hypocrisy. Leave it to Leavitt.

The fowl administration.

Oh.

Worth noting for anyone who knows Judge Dredd but missed the point. Dredd first appeard 1977, and was born from the idea that in the future we'd have ruined the natural world, be living in huge, soulless cities, and be unemployed thanks to AI and Robotics making most professions obsolete

You can literally see where he aims and shoots directly at the reporter talking to a camera. It wasn't crossfire. The press was fired upon.

Here's the thing about this: It isn't a boycott really. On one level I'm not travelling to the US because of moral objections, sure. But the really powerful factor for me is just a basic risk assessment. The American administration is clearly aggressively hostile to foreigners, and people like me.

I am similarly driven up the wall by the credulous coverage and framing around pipelines. Whenever a politician says, “we are going to build a pipeline,” or a journo says, “do you support building a pipeline,” the answer has to be, “WHO IS WE?!?!?” There is no private sector proponent. None.

Canada cannot take on the climate crisis alone. As one of the world’s top polluters and wealthiest countries, we must do our fair share globally, not just at home. Tell PM Carney to lead boldly on climate justice, economic transformation, and international solidarity 350.org/canada/fairs... SIGN!

The protests are responding to government violence, not the other way around, you cowards

This is Max. He snuck out in the middle of the night and walked 5 miles to get a breakfast burrito from a store that gave him one once. They hadn't opened yet when he got there, but Max was found the next morning thanks to his GPS collar patiently waiting outside for his well-earned snack. 14/10

Honestly reminds me of Russia being like “we’re gonna take Kiev in one day with our super manly parade soldiers” and then getting their ass handed to them.
