I know it's not your point, but I can tell you with 100% certainty that THEY don't understand the technology, either. They're absolutely deflecting when they say shit like that.
But yeah, for them we are the dumb ones.
"Other technology arent ethical either" -> why do we want to allow another one when we can stop it?

It's like telling the general public their tool use and critical thinking levels need to be at quantum scale when they struggle with graphing calculators.
