When I first played around with astrophotography i used a webcam i pulled the lens off of then taped a tube that was about the right size for the Eyepiece barrel to it.

Hopefully with some collimation and a darker spot to look from I can get much better pictures. The moons were a lot clearer to my eye than my DSLR, but if you zoom in on the first image the bright spots you can see around Jupiter are Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto

1. Jupiter, high exposure, with four galilean moons (two on the left very close together)
2. Mars! You can make out the polar ice caps!
3. An illuminated crescent of Venus
4. Low exposuse close up of Jupiter where the bands on the surface are clearly visible
