One of the things that always depreses me wrt spacex is the degree to which people would fetishize their technological accomplishments without asking what that technology was being used for, and Rocketlab are exactly the same only with the added insufferability of NZers need to feel important.

It's extremely important when writing a star trek skip list to pick a couple of the bad ones and leave them in just so people get the complete experience y'know

Look how polite he is

I just took the best picture of my life

And put them on the benefit while we're at it.

The Nice Guys (2016)

the horrors persist and still I breathe

"America doesn't want trans people to exist" well I don't want America to exist so we seem to be at something of an impasse here

Section 31 is bad lmaoo

Farewell, the nugget 🫡

Oops I bought the lesbian wagon

Watching Blue Velvet tonight, one of his I haven't seen.

There aren't a lot of "famous" people who mean that much to me but man if I ain't gonna miss David Lynch and the peculiar vibes and unabashed sincerity of his and his collaborators work. He was a kind of artist this world desperately needs more of.

You’ll probably see this screenshot floating around a lot but it really was wonderful to see Lynch put a scene in Twin Peaks: The Return where he has his character literally stare at the camera and say that you should either support trans people or die. I needed to hear that in 2017

I have yet managed to quite click all the way with most David Lynch works, but every one of his films that I've seen has been utterly unforgettable in some way or another. probably the best quality a filmmaker can have

Lynch was one of those few artists who seemed to prioritise sincerity above all else. While his art could be quite abstract it was never aloof or disengenuous, he never spoke down to his audience. We're so incredibly lucky to have lived along side such a person, and he'll be dearly missed.

As always.

People are moaning about this but as an artist, thank fuck.

I'm so glad I got to see Interstellar in I-MAX despite my many issues with that film because it sure is something to *look at*

I know we are very overloaded with govt submissions right now but please do not forget the Social Security Amendment Bill. It is about benefit sanctions and it keeps being left off lists by fellow leftists telling us what to submit to. Submissions close Jan 10. www.parliament.nz/en/pb/sc/mak...

it is him!!

tri-jets tho

SOON

Actually shocking how important it is we remember this, like, not everything needs a tortured thinking rock inside of it guys.

Happy New Year everyone 💜💜💜
