I was just on American flight 3083, for LaGuardia. As we touched ground, the plane suddenly sped up and climbed back up. The plane strained to quickly gain altitude. After something like five harrowing minutes, the pilot finally announced, “there was a plane in the ground that was too close to us.”

What's wild is we can do so so much with remote technology now. The flying to locations to take work meetings is sort of antiquated for the most part

That happens a couple of hundred times a day out of 50k flights. 340 million people either drive or fly, train is not used much. Huge traffic jams in the sky around urban areas. People take 30 min flights Houston-DFW

I’m taking Amtrak for an upcoming trip halfway across the U.S. to visit family. Trying to limit flying or, if possible, avoid it all together for now - not only for personal safety but also to help send a message to the airlines to speak UP about the gutting of the FAA

I’ve had to fly a couple of times this year and that’s exactly it. Once you get through the takeoff, then you can relax.
