My kids will tell you that the word “hate” was the only 4-letter word that was banned in our home because wars are fought and people are killed because of hate. They learned they could strongly dislike something but with that came a responsibility to try to understand what fueled their dislike. 😔

I was a 1st generation college student at 35 as a single mom with 4 kids and it was only made possible because of Pell grants and Federal Financial Aid. My children are only able to be in school now as young adults because of Pell grants and Federal Financial Aid.
