Worth pointing out: give $600 to a poor person, and they multiply its effect in the entire local community by spending it. Give it to a rich person, and it circulates in the investment stratosphere, from which it never comes down to the local community.
Also “gone in a week”, Capitalism only works if people spend money man. That $600 they spend in one week does far more good for the economy than the rich man’s 6 Billion that he sits on.
Also, the “poor people” will spend the $$ in their community, which will support local businesses that employ other “poor people.”
Rich people hoard their $$ in offshore accounts to avoid paying taxes
Not to mention that $600 to a poor person is now moving around. It became $600 for the bodega. Then $600 to the distributor. Then $600 to the manufacturer. And along the way a dozen workers got their salaries.
The $600 became several thousand dollars of activity quickly, not over 10 years.
Keeping a kid from starving is worth more than giving it to a rich bastard to grow that $600. With no guarantee that said person will use it for good to help the poor. Rather than pocketing his theoretical 10x growth on that investment.
Holy fuck, that is stick-bone, stone-swamp, gator-ass stupid. And what makes it worse is that they are merely parroting what they heard without questioning it.
Or you could further flip the script and say. Give a poor person $600 and they'll spend it on bills. Give a rich person $600 and they'll spend some and use the others to roll up and sniff the drugs they bought.
Also, the $600 you give to the poor person isn't gone. It has moved into the wallets of other people, and then others, each change of hands producing economic activity.
$600 to poor person - back into circulation immediately. Small business get increased revenue, corporate retail as well, states get sales tax from spending
$600 to rich person - disappears from circulation to accumulate interest then passed down to estate who will continue to guard it.
But, but.... It might trickle down eventually in the form of jobs from them not firing everyone and creating a more stable economy that they hold for ransom. >:)
Now that we had a good laugh, time to return to our reality.
Also, the first person spends that money at businesses and supports the local economy. The rich person hordes the money for themselves creating no jobs or supporting the community.
what pisses me off is when ghouls say, you’re on food stamps your kid CAN NOT HAVE soda, chips or candy while that asshole is taking THEIR KIDS to Disneyland.
It is actually absurdly unrealistic. Doubling money over a decade is a fairly reasonable expectation. Multiplying all your money ten times over in a few years can happen, but it is extremely unlikely.
Oh boy I got real life experience with this one. One year my only Christmas present for my kid was when I cut back on grocery expenses so there was enough on my card to let him pick whatever he wanted that week. Guess that made me frivolous.
They might dare enjoy a few moments and feel human and enjoy life. That means they won't want to slave away for small businesses they own for unlivable pay. Where else can we find our slave workforce that's too tired to vote and care beyond survival?
Don’t get me started on the cost of a family of four to go to a professional #sports game pay for parking, tickets, a sofa & a hotdog. It’s damn near over

Yes we are. People are shocked that a family of 6 costs more to feed and therefore is eligible for more SNAP, but it must be because they're having kids for the govt check... 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
Trump's poll numbers are very slow. Let's continue to stay focused on impeachment & removal. We also need to welcome any Republicans that have seen the light: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkqqSDXPNMA
Give a poor person $600 and they barely survive. Give a rich person $600 and they make it harder for the poor person to survive because they threw a tantrum they only got $600

Trump doesn't understand why
Musk doesn't understand
RFK does not understand
Bondi does not understand
Hegseth, Leavitte and Miller do not understand
NO MAGA Republican understands?
(They lie to us, they cheat us and they steal from us)
Whats to understand?
I have a list of other Puritan views that I disagree with but I don’t have time to list them now.
What point is here in having social net programs if they aren't loathing being on them and jumping through hoops every couple of months?
