I'd like to see individual US states independently forging closer ties with Canada/EU/UK. YEAH, I know this contravenes the Federal Exclusivity rule, & the Supremacy Clause, BUT THE FED IS NO LONGER OPERATING UNDER THE US CONSTITUTION. Why should the states? Blue states need protection.

Thank you for this. My father was a RCAF pilot during WWII. What is occurring is an affront to all those who fought against the Nazis and the Fascists. I am incensed at this ignorance in full display. I shake my head in disbelief.

My grandfather was an A-20 Havoc bombardier in the US Army Air Forces, WWII, killed the month before my mom was born. His loss caused generational trauma all the way to now. Today's US government & 1/3 of Americans are a blight on his memory. And on my other granddad's, & my husband's granddads'.🤬

Mom had lifelong issues missing (& psychologically searching for) her hero/father figure & from an abusive stepfather traumatized by his own war service in the Pacific. Some of that was visited on me, & my dad had issues from his war-fighter dad who killed himself, & my dad also killed himself. 💔

Heartbreaking. I was so proud to be of the generation that enjoyed post WWII freedom and democracy. Until now. But I tell myself constantly, we must still fight to keep those aspirations alive. 💔

I was raised to be aware of existing in a time when Western Europe is peacefully integrated for the 1st time EVER & that my country in spite of its flaws had a major role in rebuilding dozens of countries there & in Asia post-war.
