Heartbreaking.
My God, I hope every single person who participated in the slaughtering of those people are burning in hell.
My white friends, we didnβt personally do this, but we HAVE to own it. Until we do, racism canβt be properly dealt with. Itβs OUR problem. Iβll share a thread on this soon.
I heard he's recruiting all the white men in Knoxville. That should do it
Iβm disgusted and descendants of those responsible should be apologizing to the black community for years to come .

Bigotry is not innate.
Led Zeppelin did a version on their fourth album (1971.)
Other songs about the event are "Backwater Blues" by Bessie Smith (1927) and "Mississippi Heavy Water Blues" by Barbecue Bob (1928).

It makes White Supremacist look bad. Their feelings are easily hurt.
They consider such history as an instrument of reverse discrimination against whites.
The goal was to create a narrative and embed it in our psyche that White people are the "heroes" of the American story.
They are not.
They "saved" everyone.
They did not.
It was white supremacy at work.

Maybe I'll just BE woke.
I'm known for it by tens of thousands of my followers for years.
Just consider it my "brand".
Woke is "being aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice).β

Once the 99% figure this out. Then we can move onwards towards taking it back from evil men.
βWhen the people fear the government, that's tyranny; when the government fears the people, that's freedom.β

Ancestry & too many white people are still attempting to squash black people. π especially the jerk who is supposedly president.
Another tragedy I never learned about in school. Dreadful

βDuring a flood in 1912, a Mississippi engineer who ran out of sandbags ordered several hundred black convicts to lie down on top of a levee while the water splashed over them. The local press suppressed the story, but the New York Times reported this horror as βbrilliant.ββ

Hardly any good came from Mississippi.
Staring with the Natives at the high point, that area, in an overall sense of civilizational development, has been steadily declining for 300 years
Which has eventually terminated in its current Nadir,
