Andrew Carnegie had access to near slaves in Chinese migrants who he happily worked to death to build his empire. He did the other stuff so that his final reputation wouldn't be that. I'm certain we'll see Musk University and hospital or other such stuff soon.
After they wreck the small farmers all over and buy up all the land, I'm certain they'll approve a slave labor visa and bus in people to work the land they stole.
Oh I could absolutely see that. Are you aware of AcreTrader? JD Vance has a ton of investment in this and it makes farms into something investors worldwide can put a stake in. This is going to majorly drive up land prices when farmers are already struggling, on top of cutting WIC and food stamps.
Just like Hitler those who were weak, disabled, or with mental illness they just let die. It’s a way to purge the country and get rid of those who cannot contribute to society.
Carnegie was largely forced to do that by the New Deal. That was the ‘deal’ he got in exchange for keeping his head attached. That’s how bad things had gotten in the early 30’s and that’s the bigger picture that so many don’t understand.
Whether it was guilt or learning to be better or a bit of both, you can both blame him for the bad things but also credit him for the good things. It is important to remember both. Musk ain't doing anything good.
Yeah he did that as a PR stunt to save face for his families legacy after using the military and cops to kill thousands of Americans who were fighting for workers rights in steel mills, railways, and oil fields. Listen to this podcast to learn more
Would have preferred he just pay his people a fair wage with good benefits in the first place instead of brutalizing them and then discovering a conscience as he got old trying to get some "heaven credit."
Andrew Carnegie paid his workers poorly and hated unions. During a strike at Carnegie's Homestead steel plant in Pennsylvania, his manager fired all the workers and brought in armed guards. Violence erupted, and twenty workers and four policemen died.
Exactly. When traveling, if there's a Carnegie library near, I often do a visit, take a pix and marvel at what a great thing it is. Odd I know, but it makes me feel good to see it. Saw several in Ireland.
The election was illegally manipulated. Kamala actually won. He literally told on himself in his speech, thanking Elon and referencing the voting machines. This requires investigation and imprisonment for all involved. https://youtu.be/3l8vWfaFVMU?...
TBH though, the robber barons of Carnegie's era (including Carnegie) didn't start any philanthropies till they had contributed to the ruin of bunches and bunches of peoples. Given that measure, Musk hasn't ruined enough lives yet to reach his "philanthropy era."
So again, how much worse does this make Elon, in the middle of his ongoing effort to gut American democracy and turn us into a techno feudalist slave state?
