The problem with much of what goes on in a business like this is that the cost of the drink has little to do with the actual resources going into it and more. Logical arguments are quite hard. Most people don't see the value in saving £1 in exchange for a perceived inconvenience of a reusable cup. ☹️

I like it too and drink it in the morning. I just think it's a side of consumerism that is out of hand, you see people "going out for a walk" carrying a coffee, and then you see shit loads of dumped cups in the countryside. arse

in Germany, we have recup https://recup.de/en/ – pick up the coffee in one place, return the cup somewhere else. Seems to work well.

Even better is not to make the disposable cups out of mixed use cardboard which get chucked in the (non mixed use) recycling bins.
