What would we spend £2b of #transport funding in #Nottingamshire / #Derbyshire on then? I'll start. #Tram to Derby/EMA (if worth it), but as part of larger East/West route to join up suburbs such as Gedling, Mapperley etc. Then if there's anything left, spend it on segregated cycling.

The reason the kids you know can't have something like this is because people with power think that car owner convenience is more important. But they can be challenged, and school streets really can become open to everyone by being closed to cars.

Stuff is starting to happen now. East side of the basin fenced off for smaller bridge works and connection of electrical supply. Some great pictures of the bridge popping up on the internet now too. Apparently it's off to Scunthorpe tomorrow for a lick of paint. #nottingham #infrastructure

Lots of things I like about freelancing, but having to explain that I don’t get a paycheque every month and therefore can’t do things for free is not one of them. Freelancers have no sick leave, no paid holidays and no benefits, and if we do something for free it means less time to earn in.

Made the mistake of trying to use public transport with the pram today. The two spaces on the bus were taken. Next bus not for half an hour, giving our family oriented eco-friendly neighborhood a total public transport capacity of four prams per hour, per direction. Laughably shit #nottingham
