My brother in law's cat does that. I'm trying to have a conversation with him while his cat repeatedly headbutts him in the face and he just puts up with it
This is why video counselling is tricky at my flat. You shut the doors for privacy, then just when you've got to a delicate bit, the cat starts trying to lodge a complaint with the feline consulate about the outrage of someone shutting a door when a cat is in the house.
I have to do therapy or job interviews on a platforn where I can blur the background otherwise at least one of the rats will see a new person on the screen and run over to investigate who im talking to
We have spent the last two years training our cat to put up with being held up and fed treats during our weekly video call with my stepfather in the care home.
This means that when I'm having, say, a zoom consultation with a rheumatologist, she appears and demands treats. He was charmed.

I had a lovely elderly cat who lost the ability to figure out how the door opened.
