I was just thinking similar this past weekend. I've got a drawer full of great watches that I don't wear anymore because I rely so much on my smartwatch these days but I definitely miss them from a style standpoint

Oh man yeah. I actually rely on my Apple watch for fitness tracking and various real-time notifications now so it's on me all the time, but I've got a couple real nice Citizen watches that always just looked and felt nice to wear that just sit around now.

I was always hopeful for a good hybrid option, where it's a "real" watch but with an e-ink display underneath for basic info & notifications. It could still have step tracking and whatever else but the phone pulls all of that info to spare the display for battery purposes
