Trump says he wants to make interest payments on car loans for US-made cars tax deductible, then in the next breath admits it'll mainly help wealthy people

this'll only matter if you have enough deductions to itemize (I don't), and it'll only really matter if you have bad credit and a high interest rate. My credit is great, and the interest on my car loan amounts to about $300 a year.
I wonder which South African Nazi came up with that brilliant idea and planted it in the completely gullible orange shit for brains, Vice President Donvict
They're trying their utter most to hold up Tesla stock price. It's their bloody achilles heal. The thing holds this whole shambles together. It's plainly obvious the share price is extremely precious to them. They need to keep the banks at bay from tesla/twitter.
I'm not clicking play on that, I trust you, and his voice makes me sick. He's such a disgusting person, in so many ways, and the world will be better off with his passing
This was on the to-do list of things the GOP wants to accomplish. Also, alleviating the tax deduction for mortgages and making students pay taxes on their scholarships.
I’m no fan of Trump but I’m certain that his plan to make it less expensive for billionaires to buy cars is purely designed to lower the cost of eggs and gas.
I think encouraging made in America is fine but it’s the unnecessary and aggressive bullying and threats attacking other countries. Could he not just have worked on encouraging Made in America without the cray cray?
He’s saying that middle and lower class people aren’t smart enough to know how to use tax deductions, but we’re gonna learn about this neat trick thanks to him. 😖 🤬
Eliminated the tax deduction
The Tax Reform Act of 1986, signed into law by President Ronald Reagan, eliminated the tax deduction for consumer loans, including credit card interest1. Prior to this act, interest payments on credit cards could be deducted from taxes1.
Trump is an inspiration to America. Any asshole, no matter how stupid, greedy, evil, cruel, obtuse, lazy, ugly, fat, smelly, revolting, selfish, misanthropic, petulant, self-aggrandizing, amoral and glib can become President of the United States. Anyone. Any criminal piece of shit can just signup.
A MAGA I know told me not to pay my income tax due because in a couple of months “we won’t have to”, so I think many of them simply believe that income tax is going away, period.
That's his new economic plan for this afternoon.
It's an "inkling of a plan."

Congratulations, America!!
The most recent stat is quickly found was from 2019 - 13.7% of taxpayers itemize. Is it possible Trump actually said something true, i.e., he is considering another tax break for the wealthy?
The rest of us won’t ever be able to buy a car ever anymore.
If only the rich buy cars it’s over total collaspe of domestic car industry and economy
Ignorance is incredible
He’s trying to distract from the Signal blunder. We’re 1 week away from April 2nd. I’m sure he’s gonna change his mind or change the announcement in some way or another. He’s doing this with the sole purpose of diverting the attention from the Signal leak blunder. Classic Trump!
Anyone else think Musk and team made a lot of senseless spending cuts and yet Trump will still give us large deficits due to tax cuts and lack of tax enforcement from cuts to the IRS?
You watch this clown and you realize he’s just an actor playing a part. He doesn’t have a clue. He knows what he wants to get out of this and that’s it. That’s all he’s focussed on, the rest of it is just an inconvenience.
A couple years ago I thought I might have one car purchase left in me - I genuinely do not like driving, it's a horrible waste of brain cycles. I'm now of the mind that I may never buy another car at all and I appreciate Trump's help in this regard.

The 99% are going to pay for the 1%'s great life.
How have we not reached a tipping point for violence.

...you mean America? The part of the world that you are also in? 🤦
Just fucking say it. It would be the first honest thing you've said. Ever.
