What "caused" it? Better diagnostic criteria. A lot of kids on the spectrum who are high-functioning were just labeled "weird" or "quirky" or "difficult" back in the day, and a lot of the kids who are lower-functioning just got put in the "mentally retarded" bucket. We need an actual scientist.

Man...I tell you that most of the hills in WV and western PA have been undrmined. The stripped out every bit of coal, and have left what amounts to pillars holding those hills up, and those hills have houses on them. Mine subsidence leading to foundation shifting/cracking is real.
