Depends. Only if you’re not rich, than yes it’s extremely illegal. If I traded say, $10k worth of shares on insider information for a company, I would be terminated, arrested, locked up and probably bankrupted.
Finally the deficit in the rice and call centre trade will be resolved. Great news for
Americans. More jobs farming rice… and more minimum wage call centre jobs.
Why do countries believe the US will stick to any deal they make? I mean, the USMCA is being trashed at the moment, and it was the best, most beautiful deal ever when Trump signed it during his first term. Now he keeps asking who made such a bad deal. Dementia or liar, take your pick.
In 2024, the total bilateral trade between the US and India was estimated at $129.2 billion. the United States ran a $45.7 billion goods trade deficit so India sells far more to us than we to them. Even with India reducing their tariffs it is highly unlikely they will buy much more outside of ag
Child labor returns, due process departs, allies ghosted, treaties trashed, markets crash in trade war tantrums. The "empire" coughs blood and calls it greatness.
How many more symptoms does the patient need to see before it seeks help?
It's the American Twilight Zone where our enemies rejoice.
Anyone who thinks Trump's 2nd coming is about benefitting anyone other than Trump & his MAGA billionaires is a member of the MAGA cult. No one else matters. Everyone else is either to be exploited, deported or eliminated.
Jesus H Christ, all those 0.1% make all their money not because of what they know, but who they know. Insider trading, anybody?
In a true “meritocracy”, they’d be eligible for jobs mopping the floors of the corporate headquarters and cleaning the toilets. — if they could pass the drug screening.
Did you see the Jeffrey Sachs interview with India. He basically said that India should not make a deal with the US if it alienates China. He made the point that India & China were here way before the US and should solve the old land disputes England created and move on.
We should just assume that this is nothing more than illegal market manipulation because that is the only thing that the Trump Administration knows how to do.
Honestly this is like watching a rerun of Brexit, deal imminent deal falls through, deal signed just for optics and it will be so badly put together it will cause mayhem
Kinda like we’re talking to China - than China said they’re were not making plan or talking to USA on Tariffs a deal. Remember that story the boy that always called wolf until nobody believed it.
New York defines insider trading as selling or buying securities using material information that is not available to the public. In the state of New York, such actions are illegal under both New York and federal laws, such as the Martin Act.
Trump only makes inside deals to attain and keep money and power, doing whatever it takes to eliminate/reduce any chance of not achieving his goals. Trump only entertains inside tracks to ensure outcomes. He cheats, intimidates and fixes his ways with a lot of help along the way.
Although a Memorandum of Understanding, which is what they are talking about, is NOT A TRADE DEAL. Trump is even more likely not to adhere to a MOU as he is a full blown trade deal like, for example, the USMCA!....
What about the biggest trading partner? China! Give us a positive development on a country we are so dependent on for so many products, services, and minerals!
I was disgusted at all the un-prosecuted crimes committed during his term. And I accidentally saved lots of the posts from them. Every time we fail to charge Trump for small crimes gives him permission to commit bigger crimes later, exponentially. Now he’s above the law, and beyond a guillotine.
That's why they gutted the SEC. And no Inspectors General mean all of their crimes go undetected. And I can't begin to tell you the benefits they reap from a DOJ who is an extension of White House Counsel.
Yeah I mean I guess that’s not an impeachable or imprisonable offense to all other Americans.
Why is there 1 set of law for 1 person and another set for the rest of America?
Scott believes that in negotiations, you should give away everything to appear intelligent. However, people will just take what you offer and, understandably, think you're an idiot.
Negotiation requires two things: intelligence and respect. The Trump administration has neither and inspires nothing.
Fanfuckingtastic — but China represents roughly 5 times the imports of India. Great for folks in the import/export business with India, but it doesn’t really do much for the average consumer.
