Yo, for real, how are we going to host a World Cup next year? If you're on the Iranian or Danish or honestly any foreign squad, are you really going to trust your visa to get you in and out of the country without being jammed up?

Squads & support staffs should, in general, be okay. Some hassle perhaps but okay. FIFA will crack down on any symbolic protests by players.
Problem will be fans getting into country & moving to various game sites. Hearing from friends in other countries who now will watch only from 🇨🇦 or 🇲🇽 or home.
that's a really good question. Was Russia pulling visas for people who had written posts critical of the country? They may have already been well past that point, which weirdly may have led to teams at least knowing what the score is? It's really the uncertainty of it all that's the problem...
I imagine stories in the international press of people being detained trying to enter the country will result in many people staying home. It'll be a financial and public relations nightmare.
I’ve been saying this for months #FIFA. Any one planning to come the USA, probably isn’t getting in. But Canada and Mexico will be great hosts! USA? From why I see? Yikes!
I think all major sporting bodies should be asking this question. There are 3 F1 races in the States this year, & while the drivers will likely be fine, there are huge ## of support staff for every race + fans that travel here. If they aren't concerned, they should be. Ask it out loud. #StandUp

"In May 2018 ARD announced that Russia had declared void a visa issued to Seppelt so he could report on the 2018 FIFA World Cup, citing Russia stating that Seppelt is on a list of unwanted persons."
