Some slight tactical & style of play changes this year suddenly make more sense. High press, focus on immediate recovery when possession is lost, quick transitions w/a minimum number of progressive passes to reach goal.
He's still got to figure out that midfield. He's basically been blessed with a cornucopia of midfield options that allowed him to make opponent-specific choices. Cupboard is a bit more sparse for him in LA.
All the way back to Brann & the Norwegian youth teams, he's trying to create overloads in the midfield both in- & out-of-possession. That's the core thing w/his teams. Minimal width, particularly in attacking transitions.
